Grace and Faith Church, Tampa, Florida – April 9, 2017

Palm Sunday is April 9th. Christians celebrate the day Jesus entered Jerusalem before He was crucified, and then resurrected. It is a time to reflect on the final week of Jesus’ life. What would you do if you knew you were living your last week on earth? My first thought is that I would squeeze my family tight with hugs and give them permanent kiss marks on their cheeks in hopes that they would always feel my love.
Jesus spent His having His Last Supper while He prayed over His disciples, and was betrayed by one of them. He was beaten, tormented and ridiculed – for me, and for you. I am so humbled that Jesus would die for me. It truly is an honor that I can praise Him and thank Him for loving me that much.
Landon and I will be in Tampa, Florida on Sunday and would love to have you join us (along with my brother, Darrell Kirby, and his family) at Grace and Faith Church. If you’re not in Florida, wave your palm branches from your home church or wherever you are at.
“We cannot all be great; but each of us can connect our lives to something that is great.” — Harry Emerson Fosdick

Bloom Brunch-April 8, 2017

What a blessing to get to spend time with these beautiful ladies from {gather}. I felt the love from each hug and smile. God is doing amazing things with, through, and in these women. I was in awe as to how they all have different strengths and gifts that they use. I saw hospitality, organization, love, encouragement and prayer. Such a sweet reminder as to how God made us all different, unique and specially designed to be His hands and feet. Whatever your gift is, be thankful and obedient as you do great things for Him!

Carolinas Medical Center Brain Trauma Unit August 5, 2014

Landon and I had the honor of speaking at Carolinas Medical Center Brain Trauma Unit last night. We were also excited and
blessed to meet our very own angel on earth. Nick Pollock was on the flight team when we were airlifted from the accident. How do you thank someone that saved your son’s life? There’s not enough hugs or thank-you’s in the world. What an amazing night. Nick Pollock – always know that this Mom will forever be grateful!

Family Sports Fitness in Stanfield, NC – August 12, 2014

These beautiful children from Family Sports Fitness in Stanfield, NC are AMAZING!!
Landon, Parker and I were blessed by these smiling faces today. They wowed us with their bright answers and great questions. This group of kids know what faith means. In the picture below, they are raising their hands high to show bracelets they are wearing that says FAITH. They are going to proudly share with the world that they believe. I left Stanfield feeling proud of these kids. They are our future and they have been trained well. Kudos to some very dedicated parents.

Grieving With Faith
Local author’s story inspiring others

Julie Kemp’s life was forever changed on October 19, 1997.
Kemp and her husband, Andy, and their 8-year old son, Landon, were involved in a car wreck that claimed Andy’s life and threatened to take Landon’s, as well. Years of anger, despair and questioning followed, but it was ultimately Kemp’s faith that restored her hope and put her on the road to healing.
……….
“I was scared to trust again,” Kemp said. “…Once I (chose) to understand that I won’t get the answer to my ‘whys’ here on earth – that this is the hand that I’ve been dealt – when I quit asking why and accepted this is my life, that’s when” the healing began.
Kemp kept praying while writing her book, “If it helps one person, it will all be worth it.”
